 | ONESIMUS male Biblical, Biblical Latin Latinized form of the Greek name Ονησιμος (Onesimos), which meant "beneficial, profitable". Saint Onesimus was an escaped slave of Philemon who met Saint Paul while in prison and was converted by him.
